ELEMENTARY SCHOOL OUTREACH PRESENTATIONS

Between May 24th and June 5th, UNBMHS volunteers presented to 20 classes of grade 5 students from six local elementary schools. Our presentation answered these important questions:

  • What is a period?

  • What is menstrual stigma?

  • How do non-menstruating people contribute to menstrual stigma?

  • What is period poverty?

  • How do we reduce period poverty?

  • How do I use a pad and tampon?

  • How do I use reusable pads, period underwear, and menstrual cups?

We want to thank the amazing students at Barker's Point, Liverpool, Priestman, Royal Road, Gibson-Neill Memorial and Park Street elementary schools for their respect, kindness, confidence, and amazing questions!
